Frequently asked questions

Brief and
specific.

Answers about the A+B package, system requirements and the Autogain-in-Chain licence.

Which operating system does Autogain-in-Chain support?

Autogain-in-Chain is a VST3 plugin for Windows x86-64. You need a DAW that supports this format.

Are A and B separate products?

No. The Autogain-in-Chain package contains two VST3 plugins that work together: A (Reference) and B (Match). One licence covers the complete A+B package.

How does the A → B setup work?

Place A before an effect or effects chain and B after it. A measures the reference level, while B adjusts loudness after processing, making it easier to compare sound at a similar level. One A instance can provide a reference to several B instances in the same group.

Does B change the stereo position or L/R balance?

No. B applies the same level adjustment to every channel, preserving the stereo position and L/R balance. Each track with its own B instance is matched independently.

Is Safety Guard a limiter?

No. Safety Guard restricts correction only in the current Percussive engine, does not work in Continuous, has no look-ahead and is not a true-peak limiter. Keep an independent true-peak meter after B and use an appropriate limiter when the signal path requires one.

What does the A+B licence include?

A one-time purchase covers the complete A+B package and a perpetual licence for the purchased version, with no subscription.
